We would like to thank all of our audience members for joining us this year. It certainly was good to be back at full strength!
Plan on attending or joining the Band next summer, 2023 as we will present our 100th season of musical offerings to the City of Oconomowoc.
The Oconomowoc American Legion Band, Inc. is the community band of the City of Oconomowoc. We were established in 1924 and are affiliated with the Edwin L. Jones American Legion Post 91 in Oconomowoc. Our band has been designated the official Legion Band of the State of Wisconsin and travels frequently to the annual American Legion National Convention.
The band performs weekly outdoor concerts every summer in the Rhodee Memorial Band Shell located on the shore of Lac LaBelle in Oconomowoc's downtown district.
In keeping with our mission to provide musical entertainment on stage and on the street, the band also marches in numerous local community parades throughout the summer.
We invite you to come and listen. If you wish to help make music, we invite you to join us. You do not have to be a veteran or member of the American Legion Family. Membership is open to all instruments and talent levels. To register for the 2023 Senior Legion Band, just send a note using the Red button below and we'll make sure you receive registration materials when available.
Two programs made possible by a generous bequest from the Bart Brown estate are continuing: 1) Get Back to Band - FREE lessons available to adults wanting to get back into playing an instrument and 2) Junior Legion Band Camp designed for our community's younger players.
