100 YEARS OF MAKING MUSIC FOR OCONOMOWOC 1924 - 2024
The Legion Band performed its final summer concert of the season on Saturday, August 17th.
We are already looking forward to a great season in 2025.
Please join us for our Remembrance Concert on Wednesday, September 11. This concert begins at 7:00 pm in the Rhodee Memorial Band Shell.
The Oconomowoc American Legion Band, Inc. is the community band of the City of Oconomowoc. We were established in 1924 and are affiliated with the Edwin L. Jones American Legion Post 91 in Oconomowoc. Our band travels frequently to the annual American Legion National Convention representing the State of Wisconsin.
The band performs weekly outdoor concerts every summer in the Rhodee Memorial Band Shell located on the shore of Lac LaBelle in Oconomowoc's downtown district.
In keeping with our mission to provide musical entertainment on stage and on the street, the band also marches in numerous local community parades throughout the summer.
We invite you to come and listen. If you wish to help make music, we invite you to join us. You do not have to be a veteran or member of the American Legion Family. Membership is open to all instruments and talent levels. Check back for your opportunity to register for the 2025 Legion Band.
Two programs made possible by a generous bequest from the Bart Brown estate are continuing: 1) Get Back to Band - FREE lessons available to adults wanting to get back into playing an instrument and 2) Junior Legion Band Camp designed for our community's younger players. Check back to find out when the 2025 Camp will take place.
The Oconomowoc American Legion Band, Inc. is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization and gratefully accepts donations to continue our programs. To make a DONATION to the Oconomowoc American Legion Band, Inc. Please click on the message button below to request more information.
